2022 AGLOA Outstanding Educator: Connie Powell

Congratulations to Connie Powell of St. Charles Catholic for being selected as one of the AGLOA Outstanding Educators for 2022. Outstanding teachers and coaches are recognized each year by their peers at the AGLOA National Tournament. These individuals have contributed over an extended period of time in a quality manner to their own programs and have also made significant contributions at the national tournament.

As Connie’s daughters started competing in Academic Games at St. Charles Borromeo, she began her involvement. When her daughters moved to their high school that did not have an Academic Games program, Connie moved from a supportive role into becoming the school’s moderator. She has helped AGLOA by volunteering to assist with the awards ceremony and as a head scorekeeper.
